Conditioning older birds to 'flightsuits'

So Jacko wears her harness pretty well (she's still not crazy about me tipping her and pushing her off balance--but once its on she's absolutely good to go).

The avian fashions company makes feather protectors that fit like the so called 'bird diapers'. I was thinking about using these for her as her plucking pattern is more of a idiopathic pain response/irritated skin from repeated plucking/habit so is unlikely to stop, but I am curious if they all grow in if she will fare better.
The company also makes cool weather wear and if I could get her to accept it she would be able to accompany me for longer during the year (my vet suggested bringing her as many places as I can even in winter).
Lastly I am considering training her as a psychiatric service animal and since pottytraining with parrots isn't a hundred percent if I could condition to accept diapers/flightsuits/feather protectors this would enable her to do so and open a lot of doors for her in general even if the service animal certification didn't come to pass (a lot of friends homes are bird safe but they're put off by the poop issue).

SO has anyone successfully condition their older birds (or any bird) to these types of garments? Or know of any? I see a lot of (especially) smaller birds just being forced into these things...but I'm not ok with that obviously.

Doubt it will work. Lots of bad things and nothing good for the bird from wearing it. I don't think it's fair to keep the bird wrapped up with its own feces for other people's amusement/benefit either. I can tell you that I've taken the birds tons of places and no one has ever complained about the mess. What I do:

A) I bring a parrot training perch and place a newspaper underneath it
B) My parrots don't poop on the fly, only from a perch so it is guaranteed to be on newspaper
C) I don't feed them for a while before such an outing (mainly for training motivation but it also helps make pooping infrequent)
D) I bring paper towels and other cleaning supplies with me so if the bird pooped on someone's shoe or floor while standing on their hand I can take care of it.

This works fine. Now when it comes to plucking, there may be an entirely different medical need for it. If your vet deems this necessary, then just force it on. However, if you have to take it on/off daily, I bet it will do more harm to your relationship than benefit to stop plucking. I could be wrong and it's less uncomfortable than I guess but I do know that a harness is borderline doable as it is.

The poop holding thing really wasn't my main focus, because yeah I don't agree with being stuck close to your own poop.

The feather protector bit and warm weather wear don't have the poop holding option so I'll pursue this if it would have benefits for her psyche by being able to be out n about and health from no more feather plucking. The repeated damage to follicles isn't doing her any good obviously.

She actually sticks her head through the harness pretty readily and absolutely enjoys going out n about. I was hoping the warmer 'clothing' would help me keep her accustomed over the cooler months to her harness.
