I wouldnt trade my cast iron pan for anything else, its completely altered the quality of food you get when frying stuff. Cast iron is great, it gives great results when cooking, is easy to clean and if cared for properly, will last at least your lifetime. The only downside is that its heavy, and its not just a little heavy, but VERY heavy. My wife doesnt like the pan because of this, she loves it for cooking, but hates moving it about. Im thinking about buying a medium sized pan for her, atm we only have a very large, and a small one.
