Well I haven't given it a go yet but the theory is it eliminates the spore risk and should be pretty easy to clean (so long as the tiles are cut and measured properly as to tightly fit the bottom tray).
Pretty much take the tray out, dump/shake the toy bits, feathers, food etc into the trash and then wipe down the tiles for whatever is stuck on.

To boot, the tiles are cheap and pretty durable.

May I just ask something. If you're gonna use vinyl wrapped tiles, wouldn't it be easier to get a peice of plexi that neatly fits on the bottom (would ofc only really be useful on the cages with a drawer type trey at the bottom so you wouldn't have to get it out through the cage door). Of corse vinyl on tiles you can always change the vinyl incase of scratches etcetera. But other than that the vinyl/plexi should be quite equal as to easiness to clean. With the benefit of using a plexi gives no cracks as in between tiles and well you only have one peice to drag into the shower or something to clean off.
