Given what I know about the inflammatory properties of grains/legumes and the issues with excess omega 6 and the excess fat its sort of inevitable.
Much like how our own grain-high and high-fat diets do the same thing.

The biggest ta-da for me is that the calcifications on her heart appeared within 6 months of feeding high-potency harrisons as recommended on the bag.

I feed both of my lovebirds a seed-based diet. But I still give my lovebirds lots of fruit and vegetables to ensure they're getting the right vitamins. Pellets are just an easier way to check if your parrot is getting the right vitamins.

IMO I think that pellets are the way to go, but seeds are OK if they have plenty of other things to eat (fruit vegetables). Also, if you are thinking of going with seeds, try getting the ones with striped sunflower seeds as they have a lower fat content.
