Biggles had bad news from vets

Postby roy » Wed Jan 30, 2013 8:47 am

Well I took Biggles to the vets Monday had some really shocking news. To start with he tested positive for chylamydophila I think that's how you spell it had to have a 6 week coarse of medication for that. When marie was checking his feathers and his skin he started to breath fun so as I see Biggles as my family I treat him the same as I would my kids or myself so I had to have xrays done to see what's happening inside of him so while he was a sleep I had his bloods done plus I had his hormone levels checked as he humps all day long I tried everything you can think of to stop it. So the xrays are back got a lump under his lung which could be a ovarie that's swollen or a fungal infection in the lung or worse
which I'm waiting for the results to come back marie also gave Biggles a hormone implant to get the hormone level down that if it's a swollen ovarie it should reduce it. I hope It does cannot wait for blood test results to come back it seem for ever waiting I just hope it's good news and nothing major I love my Biggles I just want him happy health and enjoying life it cost me 400 on Monday if I had to pay it again to get him 100% healthy I would what for me and the kids is the same for him as he is a menber of my family I will update as soon as I get the blood tests back fingers crossed.

I'm very sorry to hear about all the health issues that poor Biggles is going through. He's very lucky to have such a wonderful caretaker in you. It must be tough - hang in there!

Best wishes for his complete recovery - let us know how everything goes. :macaw:

So sorry to hear that.

You took him to the vets and you got him treated and you have done the best for him.

I have this link which puts it in English- it's otherwise called parrot fever

Might help explain it a bit more.
