that's horrible they have insurance and won't help? this rescue should not be adopting out sick birds. potential adopters should be warned about what these people are up to. the rescue i adopted from has birds that are not availabe for adoption because they are sick or have serious behavior problems. biggles is so lucky to have found you but i'm concerned about the other birds in their care. could you pm the name of this place and i'll ask the people i know about them without giving them biggles name i'll just tell them i heard they adopted a sick bird out and refuse to help with his care?

I have just got them to help only because Marie the vet got on to there vet as I asked her to because Biggles has got that disease the one that can give us meningitis and neumiour for give the spellings the disease begins with p piscttoia they said there birds ain't got it they told me he had been tested but the medical history said not they said he looks ok my opinion is he could just be a carrier so far todate it's cost £622.10 with the vat Marie said Biggles should not have been sold to anyone with that disease. They run the centre at there home I went there yesterday they was still accepting parrots someone had gone on holiday and asked them to look after there parrot. I asked if they had had there birds tested and was the man told that your parrots could have that disease the reply was NO there is nothing wrong with our parrots once I've got the bill sorted and Biggles is ok I will give you the address and the people's name and facebook to but until then I will have to keep my mouth shut as you and myself feel somethingdshould be done I just nobody else goes there considering it's a charity I still hasd to buy my Biggles for a lot of money with the vets bill your looking £1422.10 I should have just brought a chick like I was going to be I love Biggles that's why I spent the money on the vets as I said keep my name and as soon as I got the problem with my baby sorted you can have all the information just keep my name out of it please

no i won't even tell them it was a :macaw: . i was just going to give them the name of the supposed rescue and say i heard they knowingly adopted out a sick bird.is this something contagious? and they're boarding as well? alot of people pose as rescues to get free birds then breed/sell the birds for profit. if you don't feel comfortable giving that out until biggles gets help i completely understand, your bird comes first but i would never give out any info that could lead to you i'm sure your not the only one who has had issues with this person. but please let me know when you're ready.

These 3 things that really got up my nose 1 that they was or should have been friends been talking to each other for 2years. 2nd that they are a so called charity rescue center. 3rd if it ain't going to cost anything why not get it sorted.
When we was talking yesterday they said should have just put him on a inhaler for 2 hours my reply was if it was one of your kids you would want to know what was wrong with them they said didn't want vets pocking proding him cause he still seems happy I just put my head in my hands and thought why bother . As I said it ain't the money I just thought it's wrong that they wasn't bothered with what Biggles and myself was going through.
I will add you as a friend and soon as we are sorted I will pm you thanks for the intrest with what we are going through .

Ahh I was wondering how you were getting on. So glad to hear things are picking up with him, hopefully the meds will do their job. Fingers crossed about his lung too, I hope the next xray brings you good news.

Well all Biggles meds are gone he had the lot good lad. Well spoken to marie (the vet) today because this lump is on biggles air sac it cannot be removed. So the thing is as me and marie was talking about is it best to have him xrayed again which ain't no cheap thing and find out if it's still there if it is there is not a great deal they can do for him apart from make him comfortable if it gets to that point or do I just spend the money on him and spoil him rotten the other thing is. Do I really want to know that it is still there and wake up every morning wondering if he's lying on the bottom of his cage I'm finding it difficult to make my mind up. Any thoughts on this situation I'm please? ????
