Lol i never heard such thing as a bird greeting his breakfast, shame my baby dont talk but she does start shaking her wings when she sees her food. She acts normal when she start eating it. And stays veryyyy quiet while eating lol, You would not suspect we got a bird here when she is quiet.
A quiet parrot its a busy parrot.
A lovebird has the soul of a larger parrot in a small body.

I know. He is a nutter. I think it's because he flirts with everything.... Perhaps he found his mango appealing sexually....

My GCC when she puts something in her mouth many times will stand up real tall and throw her chin up in the air.

Lol, Ollie does an exaggerated head movement too but more in a sort of "hey look at me, I'm eating and your not" kind of way.

Melody doesnt talk, but when I place food infront of her, its not common for her to dance around and grunt and chirp (she does 360s with wings up). She will also often take some of the food, run over to me, place it on my hand, and run back to her dish and eat. She watches me and I feel bad if i dont pretend to eat what she gave me, but if i DO, she will keep giving me more lol. She wont share her apples or pomegranates tho, those are what she anxiously paces for while im cutting it up for her.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.
