About rescues

I decided to start a thread on bird rescues and add to it whenever I find something on any of them.

Tampa man quarantined alone in private rescue with over 200 parrots asks for help (personal note: THIS is the problem with small privately held rescues, they are managed by one person and, when something happens, they can't manage and the birds suffer)

Ziggy's Haven - first link is article, second link is website:

South African Animal Sanctuary Alliance - new flight aviary for greys - first link is about aviary, second link is website (but it looks more like an animal tourist park than a sanctuary, if you ask me)

The Cayman Parrot Sanctuary (I had already posted about it when it first opened but this article has pictures and a longer story)

Seminole County Parrot Rescue ( story and video article is first, FB page is second link - but this is another one that is in danger of going under - older single woman in charge)

And this is the opposite of a rescue (a place where animals are displayed for human entertainment), Parrot World, 30 minutes from Paris, France:

Saving our feathered friends, the fastest growing animals given up to rescues or new homes. And, yes, fake rescues are everywhere!

Ace Avian Conservation and Education Rescue in Loveland but I don't know what kind of education she can offer when she does not seem to know how to care for parrots properly and works for a parrot breeder! If you ask me, this would suggest another case of a bird flipper posing as a rescue.
