My new birdroom

Postby Natacha » Tue Jan 26, 2010 9:09 pm

I have taken more pictures of my birdroom this week-end. It's getting hard to do so without having something get in the way...

Also, try to find the bird(s) on every picture :)

There are also some stands (namely the Java stands and one metal stand) in the living room for when the birds are out there with us.

Oh wow, I definitely have bird room envy! Looks great! How are they liking the new living arrangements?

If there is more than one bird in every picture then I'm really bad at this...

1st - 2 birds playing with Jolly Ball
2nd - 1 bird at the bottom/middle of picture and one on a wood toy in the middle/right of the picture
3rd - 1 bird playing on the right hand cage
4th - 1 bird on rope toy in the back near the bottom middle/left of picture
5th - 1 bird near the ceiling on a rope perch

It would take me a little bit more time to try and name each bird in each picture though!

How do you get the down from some of the high places if you need them? Are they recall trained, you stand on a tall chair, or use a perch on a pole?

Mandy and Kathleen, I think you got them all together :)

Depending on where they are, I can get them by hand.
If they are a bit too high, for Zuri, Shade and Piper I'll call them and put my finger up and they will come closer and step up.
Joey and Petey I would use a perch.

What do you have on the floor to keep it from becoming "messy". I am planning a birdroom also, and seeing your photos has given me great ideas. Thanks!
