hi i just recently got my Quaker parrot about a month ago.. hes about 6 months old. and well lately i haven't been home much and i been staying at my sisters because of some issues. so i was wondering when is it okay to travel with my bird i mean like when can i take him to my sisters house with me away from his home and cage. im confused i dont know what to do? any advice wud b helpful :)

If you take the bird in a carrier, it's safe any time as long as the weather is reasonable for short sleeves (like 50-90 degrees F). But don't take the bird out without wearing a harness or being in a carrier because even clipped parrots have been known to fly off. Taking the bird outside from a young age is great and should be done no less than once a week when possible.
