bird room big enough for roommates?

Postby CSLFiero » Sat Dec 28, 2013 4:16 pm

So loxley is about 8 months old and is losing a lot of his automatic baby trust which got me thinking about future pets. My bird room is about 150 sq ft and loxley is about 300 grams. Of all the parrots I've ever thought about getting, they've all been in a range of about 270g to about 370g.. Given the size of the room and the size of loxley, can a separate species within that range home uncaged with eachother given enough time for them to accommodate?

Loxley isn't territorial of his cage or the room. He's very much a free bird and considers me and my wife the safest places to be in a new or scary situation.

In my personal limited experience with Jardines (a 16 year old female I've had for 7 and a male that I boarded for somebody I knew), they are the sweetest birds and get along just fine with other birds. My BabyBoyd (the previous owner called her baby bird but she pronounces it with a Jersey accent -LOL) lives with amazons, grays, cockatoos, conures and a Senegal and has never had a single problem with any of them.
