Work with parrots? Nope, I work FOR the parrots or maybe I should say 'slave' as there is no monetary reward to it -LOL-. But, yes, most of the birds I have are (or were) considered 'unadoptable' -not that there is such a thing, mind you, but let's just say that they were birds with noticeable issues that most people would not find attractive like half a wing or a severely droopy one, one leg or one foot, no toes, severely splayed legs, aggression, chronic conditions, advanced age, screaming, that sort of thing. The large species I currently have all came to me because of aggression or screaming and, one of them, because of old age/bad life and the corresponding severe chronic health issues. And, of the medium sized, one of them, the quaker, was because of a combination of aggression and a deformed beak that needs to be trimmed constantly or she is not able to eat. But all of the tiels and budgies are here because of physical issues as the greatest majority of them cannot fly at all and, the ones that do, are too old and have become a bit clumsy plus they don't like to be 'out there' on their own, they much rather stay with their pals in the flight cage so, although I do leave their door open when I am there, they hardly ever come out any longer.
