While it might be okay for supervised use, it poses an even greater risk when not supervised as while in the cage they can't escape one from the other if a fight does break out, and this fact alone means that the fight would continue with disasterous results. Please take the time to reevaluate your decision.

Right now I have 2 pairs of lovebirds but I have separated them. I have the same cage design with Tman007. I don't want to let them fight from each other. I am still observing them since this is the first time that I have a birds. I use a divider to make two cages.

While it may appear that a divider is a good way to keep your lovebirds from being able to fight with each other, it needs a little tweaking for it to be effective at preventing them from injuring each other. It would be a lot simpler if the cage manufacturer would fix the problem themselves but we work with what we have. You really need a double divider if you want to prevent injury to your birds.
Lovebirds are territorial to the extreme and if you use a simple single divider to separate them you still leave them at risk of having their toes bit off. This is very common to find when trying to use dividers to keep lovebirds apart or if one lands on the cage of a rival lovebird. and it is easy to prevent by modifying the single divider to prevent their toes from invading the others territory.

Yes, a double divider or other means of covering the divider is necessary to prevent injury from fighting through it.

A single divider is fine as long as it's a solid surface (like a sheet of Plexiglas, for example).
