Oak perches safe?

My 7 month old rock pebbler has an oak perch/Playstand that I picked up from a bird store she picks at most time she's on it. She picks at the bark and actually eats it opposed to spitting it out. I was reassured that the wood on the Playstand is safe. Should I be concerned? Thanks

Oak is listed on the toxic woods list due to its tannic acid content, so it is not safe for your bird.

I was just reading that certain oaks, even the bark is safe. How can I tell what kind of oak wood it is? Frustrating

Perhaps there is someone at the nearest university, or at a saw mill, r a cabinet maker. I do work with wood to some degree and know that it has to do with the color and the grain of the wood, but I couldn't tell.
