I have one of those for each of my birds.
I use it as a pellet bowl. They like eating their pellets out of there for some reason..

That sounds like a good idea. How do they cram themselves inside of it AND eat out of it at the same time?

Well for Piper it's fairly easy because of her size. But most of the time she'll perch on the rim of the lower coconut and eat from there.

My other birds were never quite fond of cramming themselves in. Then I had one on one of the hanging play gyms out of their cages with some pellets inside and they would eat out of there. Put some pellets in the ones in their cages and they seem much more fond of the toy being used that way. They perch on the a toy/perch near by and stretch their heads to eat the contents of the coconut....I think some have tried what Piper does and that tipped the coconut over.

That is a great toy for her. She likes to climb around and into things. She's so funny about her toys. :P

The coconut toys are great! Jessie loves to get inside them and swing back and forth. Lucy prefers to chew on them.

I've never tried putting food in something like that ... I'll have to give it a try.

I originaly bought this (and a lot of the prevue bird toys ) for my rats, but after they ignored one for a month I've got the rest of them saved for my bird. I got them on a BOGO sale so I've got like 14 of them in my storage box of random bird toys/perches/ beak conditioners/etc.

I haven't seen Polo actually inside the coconut, but she LOVES dstroying the preening parts of the toy.
