Advice needed on new cage?

I am thinking that for a bird cage, especially a custom number that they would use a high carbon steel that would then be powder coated or a hardened aluminum that may or may not be powder coated.
I mean even wire that is 1/4 inch in diameter can be bent pretty easily depending on the material that is used.

As far as I know, you can't buy directly from a distributor unless you have a corporate tax ID because they are not allowed to sell retail. I suggest you look online and see what you can find in your price range.
