I understand that, I'm mostly using it as an example of precautions I will take. The kitchen cannot be divided from the living room/dining room in this house, however. So, my solution would be to install roller doors like on a garage or something over the things the bird must stay away from.

Ah, yes, the modern 'open plan' houses are not good for birds. I personally love the idea of having just one large room but I specifically chose a house with an 'old-fashioned' separate kitchen so I would not have to worry about anything.

After a lot of thinking, I have decided to only have budgies so my birds will be more comfertable.

Budgies are awesome!

Someday, maybe, I'm going to find a big English budgie like I had when I was a kid. I have found a few lately, but only from breeders.

A Blue and Yellow English Budgie, and a Hispanolian Amazon are the two types of birds I constantly keep an eye out for.
