The branches are spaced kind of far apart... can the bird climb from branch to branch if it can't fly?

Oh yes, Noodle can get around quite well! He's a VERY good climber. I also only sile his nails enough to where they don't hurt when he's on my shoulder so he has good claws/talons?
He's been all over that stand. He likes the tip top of it. The floor is always covered with bits of toys he's dimantled.

That one you posted about Michael was made from manzanita...VERY slippery type of wood, I would avoid it. Something from Grapevine or Java might be better for their feet. I know I have had manzanita perches their cages and they always had a hard time with them and just started avoiding them all together and I've seen replaced with perches they do use (rope and some of woods better suited for gripping than manzanita).

Is manzanita the glossy looking kind of branch that feels slippery when you touch it? I didn't pay attention to what the tree was made of, but I like the shape. This one is Kili's climbing tree:

Most of Kili's perches are that kind of branch with the bark on them. What do you call that?

Yeah it kinda sounds like manzanita. It's dark brown with a red hue...well I think anyways.

Nice looking perch.
Not sure of the wood, there are different types of wood that people keep the bark on and with the small pieces like the one for your perch, it's kinda hard to tell which one it is.

I bought that for her a while ago and it's been great and she loved it. She can climb up and down that thing like crazy now. Even with a full beak she can make her way to the top, lifting her legs above her head to grab the branches! When I bought it, I didn't believe that such a little bird could climb that but she does without even flapping. She used to spend hours on it just playing. Now that she can fly, she uses it as little more than a potty!

Some pictures of the stand with my chicken bird, Joey, who seems to want to shed his chicken reputation and is trying all the new stuff before the others...
