This is about the Parrot Bird Sanctuary Park smack in the middle of the section 21 [the 'sectors' are the neighborhoods] of a city in India called Chandigarh -also known as the 'wealthiest city in India'. The unusual thing about it is that it was the people in this 'section' that asked the authorities to designate it as a parrot sanctuary and it is now home to more than 1,000 psittaculas of different species and that they established rules so as to not bother the birds at all -things like low lights and visiting schedules so as not to disturb the photoperiod, 2.5 acres that are not accessible to the public so as not to disturb their nesting grounds, etc. Isn't that just wonderful?!
