Air travel

An article about 'airport animal handling' and plane cargo areas. It's positive but I don't know if it actually convinces me. One hears so many horror stories of animals dead on arrival...

I forgot to add another article which is, more or less, on the same subject: pet air travel

Yes, I read about that... I hope they not only fire that employee but that the family sues the crap out of her and the airline - not that they will get much because of the way the laws are written [and why we need to change them, people!!!]. It's real hard to travel safely with pets because, for some reason, the airlines have not 'caught up' to the fact that lots and lots of people want to travel with their companion animals but it seems the United is, by far, the very worst of them all. I have traveled several times with birds but I have always been very careful not to use a soft carrier, to keep it right between my feet and to make the flight as short as possible and, needless to say, I would have never agreed to put them in the bin - especially a French bulldog or any other brachycephalic dog!

More on traveling with 'comfort' animals. A big change is definitely coming, more and more airlines are tightening the guidelines and there is an effort now to pass a law. People will always abuse a privilege if they can see any benefit to themselves - and that's why we need laws.
