In South Africa: Horrific conditions and more than 300 dead parrots found at breeding facility of officer with the Parrot Breeders Association (why anybody would think that a breeder cares for the animals it breeds is beyond me!)

71 Animals in terrible conditions were taken from Township Supervisor's home (including 5 cockatoos, 2 macaws, 2 conures and 1 Amazon that were in a room with no light and no ventilation!) and this was a government official!!!

This is not technically hoarding but severe neglect but I posted it to illustrate how bad conditions for animals always mean bad conditions all around because mental issues are never one-item problem, they manifest in many ways...

This is just one single example but all breeders put bottom line before the wellbeing of their birds - if it was true that they truly cared about their birds, they would not sell them to whoever has the money for it, they would give them away ONLY to good homes - it's as simple as that and no matter how you slice it, it comes up peanuts!
