Temporary set-ups for my birds

Postby Marnie » Sun Oct 03, 2010 8:00 pm

while i wait for Skittles cage to arrive, here in the computer room is her set-up in Marnies "upper" cage. the cage has an open play top that no longer closes because there are a couple fixed perches in that hole. hence the upside down laundry basket. she likes to sit up there under the basket.
on top of that is a little play stand that will go on top her new cage i think. the cage comes with a play top but i am not sure right now how i will use it.
i have to be able to secure her in her cage when i leave for work.
in this pic the door is wide open with a small ladder across the top for more perching room.
she has a tendency to fly out into the kitchen where Marnie is when her doors are open.

this is Marnies temporary set-up in the kitchen. she is using her little black travel cage for her "penthouse suite"

Just curious, is that a wash basket on top of her cage? Won't she be able to chew right through that???

yes it is a cheapo laundry basket from the dollar store. i am not sure she could chew through it or not, as of yet she has not tried it. she seems to accept it as a barrier. she really does like to sit up there under it too. right now she is fast asleep up there. i will cover her when i go to bed.

yes give a senegal any amount of boredom time and they will chew through anything. just keep an eye on the laundry bin, just like you would check over toys for damage daily. :senegal: nice setups, i like the window penthouse look. very cute. ;)

yes my Sennie is always looking for a chew challenge lol! right now she is fascinated by the leather laces holding up the green triangular toy on the front of her cage. i can't keep them tied!
but its the moustache parrot thats in here with the laundry basket on the cage. she doesn't seem to be much of a chewer, as of yet.
