Cage Covering *large cage*

When I had the smaller cage all it really took to cover the cage was maybe a nice small *petite* cloth in comparison. Now with a larger cage that cloth has become pretty much useless. Does having a bigger cage make the concept of covering the cage trivial? Or do you guys still try to cover it up? I'm not really sure what I could use in my house to be honest.

I've noticed my tiels sleeping when I get home in the afternoon and it makes me worry that their not getting that wholesome of a night sleep. Since sometimes I can hear them as I doze off to bed. </rant done> Your input would be appreciated !

I use a thick bedsheet to cover Gal's cage. I leave Archimedes uncovered because he has nightfrights. And Cloudy sleeps in his nest-bed so he doesn't need covered. Jovie I also use a bed sheet.

I use a regular parakeet cage with a heated perch for sleepyville.

I used to try and cover Scarlet's at night, but it was too big a hassle (even a king sized sheet wasn't working!). Now I just cover the portion she usually sleeps in.

My birds love to nap too. Scarlet would sleep in til 10am and go to bed at 4pm plus napping all day if I let her!

i have sewn 6 doggy blankets (brand new, not used) together. they arent that thic so will still let some light through. Joey screams if we dont cover it, he really calms down under it and pretty much immediatly goed to sleep

I bought king size black cotton sheets and use one for each of the bird cages. Truman has quite a sizable cage and yet the sheet is still enough.

I will use a blackout curtain from Ikea.

Oooh... a black out curtain from Ikea? I will have to look into that. We have an Ikea here so looks like I'll have to go shopping!
