I am trying to find out the right size perches for a red bellied parrot and a blue headed pionus. Thanks.

The "right" size is a variety of sizes in the range where the feet can reach around but not curly up completely. It's good to have some natural (or faux) perches that have variations all along them. Scooter uses a "medium" rope perch which is 7/8" and Scotty the large at 1". Your guys are in between I'd guess, and variations around those kind of sizes are probably good.
