Wow! it's amazing I glad to know they are quality.

Something that I like to add about Freedom Cage that I found was that their powder-coated cages are manufacture in china. I emailed the owner and he told me they only make the stainless steel here in the USA

There's some good info here, but some is out of date.

Although at one time many china made cages had zinc issues more recent reports show little or no difference between their powder coating or domestic. Because of anecdotal info used in many reviews and the passing on of old info thru Internet sites the facts have become blurred.

To be 100 % safe buy stainless just be sure you get what you pay for.
Avoid older powder coated cages.

As for powder coated cages I have always been able to get independent up to date metallurgical reports,from the large distributors.

It's really hard for many to find facts about manufactures of parrot cages. It is true that most cages are made in China even among our American manufactures. I have no opinion about the zinc issue reports having little difference between Chinese made or American made powder coated cages because I haven't seen or heard of a specific testing facility with such findings and results.

Even with Stainless Steel cages available I still would advise anyone to buy from an American manufacture who make the cages in the USA because they offer full lifetime warranties, while overseas manufacture don't offer much of a warranty.

The biggest problem to this issue is money. LOL :D

I just want to say thank you for posting this! I have three parakeets and 24 sugar gliders (who are housed in bird cages). I was looking to replace some of my current cages and this helped a TON, so (again) thank you!

Brand Names aside, because I wasn't paying attention, for those in the USA, HOLY COW, Walmart prices are CHEAP!

I'm looking at getting this one for Noelani;

Ahh I just realized the one I want to get is by Prevue...

After posting this I see on Amazon some really nice prices too.
