Pictures of my new adoptee's cage.

Postby kaylayuh » Fri Mar 11, 2011 2:38 pm

My new baby gets here sometime on Sunday, so I've been putting his cage together all week. I just got the rest of the toys I ordered from A Bird Toy and I took pictures of the overall set up. The pictures were taken with a webcam, so they're not the greatest quality, but you can get the gist of the cage.

You can see the budgies sitting on their cage door. I got them some new toys and they seem uninterested at the moment, but they're usually pretty good at going to ding the new bells whenever they see one. I have more toys for them in a box, but their cage won't get here until the end of next week, so I'll take pictures of that one then! I feel bad looking at their cage because I can see how much they grew out of it now. It's a good thing they only sleep in it!

On to the pictures...

Nice cage :) Rico's :senegal: cage is similar, it almost seems too big for him sometimes since he's out of it all day anyway. What kind of bird are you getting?

I'm getting a Green Cheek Conure.

The parakeets will be getting a cage that is actually a little bit bigger. The dimensions for the GCC cage are 25.5"L x 17"W x 28"H. With the stand, it's 52"H. The budgies cage will be 32"L x 20"W x 35"H, with stand it's 53"H.

JJ's room is (roughly) 20x20x32, not including the arched top. She just came home yesterday, and she looks completely LOST in it. Of course, the original plan was for she and Bucky to share a room, but Bucky is totally hostile to that idea right now, so I don't know how that's going to turn out. But your new baby? Lucky bird!

Here's Bucky and JJ... not looking so good together. :( Image
