Short of covering every surface with newspaper or plastic, it's pretty much a given that eventually we'll get poop on our carpet, tile, wood, or what-have-you. So, what is your tried and true method for removing it?
A little information:
I rent an apartment with carpeting in the living area where the birds are.
I use Poop Off for cage cleaning and have tried it on the carpet. It changed the color of the piece of carpeting I tried.
I'm considering using Resolve carpet cleaner, but I haven't been able to find if this is safe.
Right now, the birds are pretty good about going to their cage to poop. Unfortunately, Cheney Bird has a new habit of sitting on the cage door and thus pooping on my floor. I've been just wiping it up with paper towels and blotting it with water. Depending on what he eats, the color changes to an obnoxiously bright green, or if eating pellets, whatever pellet color he's chosen for that day. This makes it infinitely harder to remove it.
