Splish splash budgies taking a bath...

Postby Margaret » Fri Apr 29, 2011 8:06 pm

I promised once budgies pictures during bath. Today was warm in Chicago, so I let them have fun. Two Budgies go nuts in the water: Mango(green) and Plum(blues).

On this pic you can see Mango(on the left) overgrown beak- today or tomorrow he will be tortured. Once in a month is a must!

Absolutely nuts!

Double nuts!

Plum doesn't have enough!

These pictures made me smile. Budgie baths are so cute!

I just recently snuck a peek at Pigpen taking a bath in her water dish. Normally I have to spritz them with a water bottle otherwise they don't ever bathe. It was so cute how she tried to squeeze herself in there!

I love it!

My budgies will only bathe in Einstein's top water dish. Don't ask me why.

I'd be way too terrified to leave a container with water on top of their cage. I used to place a food dish on top of their cage when they were playing, so they didn't have to go all the way back into the cage to get a snack, but the last time they did it, they knocked it off the cage, resulting in the biggest mess I have ever seen.

I love budgies

They're adorable in their bath :)

That container would be on the floor no time flat in our Bird Room!

That's the only place I can put this container- in top of their cage. Otherwise, they don't want to go there. With only budgies, they're not that strong to put container down. I don't know what Chico will do in the future- so far she's not interested ;)
But yes, they splash water all over- even on me sitting close :)

I must have Hulk budgies. Doesn't matter how heavy it is, it WILL crash on the floor.

Get two of those plastic take away containers, put holes in the bottom of one and cable tie it onto the top of the cage, place the second one inside the first one and use that one to fill with water. Ta da! No more water tipping on the floor.

CheekyandMalolo,
Thanks!
You just gave me the idea for fixing container for veggies for them. They won't crash the one with the water, but food mostly land on the carpet. No more my Munchkins!
