My new cage

Postby Soarer » Wed Jun 22, 2011 5:03 am

I've been debating on a couple of different cages to buy. I chose the European 405 from Kings Cages. I received my cage today and I am very pleased with it. It shipped in two boxes and the packaging was excellent. It was very easy to assemble and the powder coating is great. I really like the new locks they have on this cage, I can't ever imagine a bird unlocking these locks. The quality of this cage is superb, very pleased. I have about a month to go before I bring home my new Blue Headed Pionus.

The actual inside dimensions are 44 x 27.5 x 44.5 . (inside bar to inside bar) The height is from the bottom grill, add another 10" if you were to take out the bottom grill.

Hi there,
I am sooo jealous, I would love a blue headed pionus but they are fairly rare in the UK and those that do come up for sale are blooming expensive!!

By the look of the cage he is going ot be well looked after :D

Wow, I guess you can't underestimate the birds. I thought these locks were a newer design until I saw them on some older cages at a nearby sanctuary. Can you post a pic of your bird and it's cage? I'd love to see him. How old is your cage and how is it holding up to your Macaw?
