I didnt throw the perches the cage came with out either. What I did, was hang them up high and put their hanging toys, happy huts etc on them. They dont tend to use the dowel as much as the other perches or boings.

go for length not height, this is my budgies cage which is perfect for him the sliding door problem is easily fixed with twisty ties.

i dont know how much this cage and stand would cost wear you are but it cost me $50 (NZD) for the cage and $59 NZD) for the stand, yes the stand cost more than the cage :roll:

this one is the smaller version to the one you pictures which would be ideal for a cockatiel

The cage really isn't small that I ordered. It'spretty big. I think it's perfect for ay Cockatiel. It could also hold 2 lol.

yea the one you pictures is exactly like mine but the larger version. i find avi one cages durable to rust and have lasted me longer than any other brand they are really value for money.

this one is also worth looking at the design is a lot stronger and is not alot more money than the other one

the one you pictured? no it doesn't but the food bowls have there own pull up doors which is basically the same thing
