The pink, I have no idea. The very shiny silver color is usually chrome or nickle plated which is fine. The chain you can find on ParrotWizard Toys is nickle plated. For example:

Dull metallic color can be either stainless steel or zinc plated. It depends. If it is on a professionally made parrot toy, it is probably stainless and safe. If you bought it at a hardware store, or something like that, it's probably galvanized or zinc plated.

Has anyone flown with their bird as a carry on? The maximum height of being 8 inches for a carrier is really gonna be cramp for my ringneck, and it would make me feel alot better hearing from someone who's flown commercially with their bird.
