Early bird

Sky, even though she has only been here for 3 days, likes to chirp very loudly in the morning while she still has her cover on. The cover im using is a very thin surrong that lets alot of light through. Maybe if i used a thicker cover to make her cage darker, she wouldnt chirp as much???

I use cheap black bed sheets. The cheaper ones have a coarser thread count so I think they are better at letting some air through. Window shades and keeping the room dark are important as well.

Sky is probably chirping for you to get the cover off.

my macaw lets one loud squark out when he is ready to get up and then doesnt make this noise again all day so maybe you ought to try just letting your bird get up when she wants to
