I just switched prescriptions, so I might jumble my words or say things that are irrelevent, lol. Sorry.
I would like to move my newest female in with my older pair. My older pair are a male and female, but they have never mated or bred, and don't really engage in romantic behaviors at all. Their cages have been sitting next to eachother, literally touching, for several months now, and they all seem keenly eager to get closer to eachother. I feel bad for my lone female, because I can tell she would like to join them, but I don't really want to just throw her in with them because the cage is snug even for a pair, and in case something does go wrong, I want lots of space for them to be able to interact and retreat if they desire. All of my budgies are fully flighted, and while they are handled daily, they do not get handled for as long as my larger birds do, and they require a living space big enough to keep them entertained and active. Ideally, I would like enough room for them to literally fly across the center.
This is not the exact cage my pair are in, but it is similar. It is also loaded with accessories, so has much less space overall.

What would you guys recommend as a permanent cage for all three budgies together?
