Aviary roof lining

I saw a idea on a finch forum, where they lined the inside of the aviary roof with villaboard (cement sheeting). Would this be ok with princess parrots, cockatiels, red rumps, turquoise parrots, budgies, etc
They did it to help insulate the aviary and keep the birds from getting to small gaps between the corrugated roof and walls.
