minimum cagesize legal here for an amazon is (well assuming its not one of the smaller zons, but I dont know since you never said. if its a mealy this wouldnt be enough as a minimum either in my opinion, so I assumed it was a BF or YN or something aroudn that size):

H:100cm W:160cm D:90cm

Now this is the bare minimum I think and it is definitly not for a 24/7 accomodation for an amazon, With a cage that small they need plenty of out of cage time.

you sure it isnt a blue fronted amazon? in that case its the same as my lil Polarn, I'd say a smaller cage than I provided above might be ok if it is only used for sleeping in and perhaps getting meals in(to easen the going inside at night) however I might add that the more fun of a cage you have (more room means you can have more toys and activities) the more the bird is gonna want to be in the cage, wich means given the choice he may be inside the cage playing even if it is wide open, wich is good I think. If you get it to that state where the bird is conftible going in and out playing both inside and outside the cage it will be much easier to close the cage at night. The cage shouldnt really be a prison it should be the birds private place where he can go to have some fun alone time, just as a teenager will go to its room and blast the radio the bird may want to go to its cage and play with some toys.
I dont actually use cages but in their area I wont really train em or anything, if they are in that pen I will leave them alone, if their on a smaller playstand or a trainingperch or anywhere else their fair game for training, and they know it couse they will leave their little playarea and come to a trainingperch and then start begging...

There is something really really bizzare about this message and it looks really familiar. In fact I believe it is one I wrote ages and ages ago without the link.
It appears to have been copied and pasted with a link added. Please guys DO NOT click on the link. Can spam bots actually do this or has this been done by a person?
