Any birds out there like the cold?

Postby Electic » Sat Nov 10, 2012 9:09 pm

My female eclectus, when it's hot, she can easily become irritated, same with room temperature, but as soon as I open the window and cool breeze flies in, she's completely content.

Any other bird owners experience this?

I don't think the bird is content! Instead it is just cold and trying to save energy to stay warm. When it is warm, the bird is just being itself. Birds tend to fluff up, get quiet, maybe even go to sleep when it's cold. This is sooner a sign of discomfort than content though.

I've thought of that, but she happilyy moves towards the window rather than moves away and starts singing tunes Mozart himself couldn't come up with. =p
