Best place to put your bird's cage?

What's the ideal place to put your parrot's cage?

Is in front of a window a good or bad idea? My window is covered by blinds. Would in a corner be better?

I would honestly say it depends on the bird, Ollie would love to be up near the window but it would stress Harlie out so her cage stays in a corner so the walls give her a sense of security. If you get a cage on casters then you can move it about to add variety if you have a confident bird and you have the floor space to do so. As long as there are no drafts or direct sunlight you should be fine, but I would put the cage half and half across the window and wall so s/he can see out when the blinds are open but has a bit of wall for security and a bit of privacy. Alternitively you could always part cover the cage so the bird has a little corner to retire to if that isn't pratical for you or the birds a bit skittish.

is this a new bird? if it is the corner would be best in the beginning so it can observe the members of the house while still feeling secure like marie said.once it's settled you can move it around to where it works best.
