The director of the rescue started a page to fund Tanya's hospital stay and treatment. She said that people kept messaging wanting to help. Honestly, the show of love and support means more than the money. There are ways to get money. That moral support is priceless.

She is worse again tonight. I don't expect her to make it through the night. I'm staying as long as they'll let me. She is on her side sleeping now. She doesn't even respond to my voice or my touch.

They don't think she is in pain. We are waiting on the avian vet to call before we make any decisions.

I want to be supportive of you and Tanya, but like the vets where you are I am very concerned that she will not make it this time around. I did not want to say anything earlier, but I became extremely concerned with the last picture that you posted of her as the light in her eye was gone, and that has always been a sign to me that they can't fight it any longer and will pass very soon. I still hesitate to say this now. I really hope that my feelings are wrong and I do know how much she means to you, she is a very special bird. but long term illness drags on you heavily, I know from experience, and she has been fighting this for a very long time. I really wish that I knew some way to make this better.

I am so sorry for this loss. I wish there were something else that I could say to help, but right now I have nothing more that I know how to say. Perhaps later after I have time to process my own feelings.

She was having a lot of trouble breathing and she wasn't going to make it. I had signed the form to put her to sleep, but she died in my arms before they got back with the drugs.

I'm cleaning out Tanya's cage, and Ocean just asked, "Where's my birdie?"

I say that to both of them all the time, but I've never heard her say that before.
