Hi

Can anyone please assist me by helping to identify the parakeet in the picture?

Thanks

I moved this topic as it is a better fit in species than where it was. I have to stop and take care of my birds right now, but will return and try to help you to identify your birds species.

I have had some time today to finally do some research on this and I do agree that it is a rosella and that it is probably of mostly pale headed rosella stock, but there is enough differences in the color of its plumage to suggest that it may be a hybrid of the Pale headed rosella and one of the other rosellas such as the green rosella.
I really don't know enough to come any closer than this

Bringing back this post, today I was watching an australian parrot documentary, and it showed pale heads with the red just like this.
