My little percussionist...
He plays (1) the cage bars like a xylophone, (2) he clangs and clacks his toy on the bars, and as a dramatic finale, (3) he clicks his mighty beak and ends with an adorable "HELLO, GAIL!" Take a bow, Rickeybird!

Oh, here's a funny thing.. I saw "Poicephalus" by my name and thought "hey, that's not right. I have a Patagonian"... then realized --- no... I'M a POI!!!!!

Hey. I found the thread again. I was wondering if many of you have a rainbow lorikeet? Are they popular overseas?

I don't know how I missed this part of the thread. It is hilarious.

So mine are not the only ones taking 2 hour afternoon naps. At 2 pm the house gets quiet. Everything, dogs cats parrots cockatiels all nap until 4 pm. What a wonderful silence.

Just a couple of nice pics of Simo! <3 I temporarily taped the perch onto the top of my computer (and attached a poop guard underneath it) until we can come up with a better solution. We tried to put up perches and even spiral rope things around the house, but he doesn't care for those - he always likes to come to my computer because it's the closest to me. :irn:

My house looks like "animal house". I tape a piece of cardboard to the tops of my TVs.
