Oscars New Hoodie

Postby ParrotsForLife » Tue Jan 17, 2017 10:57 am

Oscars new Hoodie arrived today and he is loving the warmth and of course those beads lol, I had to lay him on his back because of two reasons 1 because the hood was falling down whenever he bended down and 2 because the hoodie is a little long so when his other two hoodie are getting made they will make them a little shorter and I'll ask them to add a button for the hood to stay back and I'm sure he will grow into it and the main thing is he will be warm though it looks like Winter is ending.

It's very cute but I don't really approve of dressing up parrots unless it's used to prevent them from self-mutilating - otherwise, it serves no purpose other than to entertain humans. If the room where he is kept is cold, you should consider getting a space heater.

Its for outside use only just to keep him warm, I know the Flight suit is to prevent poop too and people even use those indoors but I can handle poop indoors so they only wear those outdoors too and I wouldn't wanna have to keep changing it not to mention they need to preen. He is very cute thanks :)

Be careful not to stress him out taking him out all the time because this is a male amazon and you do NOT want to get on his bad side -he might be a baby now but he will grow.

He's not out all the time but he loves when he does and gets very excited all good for socialising while young.

Have you seen the green pants that Amazons have lol I never noticed until getting an Amazon myself  and their scent is really nice, And like Pajarita was saying I think it might be true because now that Oscar is here longer he is starting to smell less muskier and more sweet.

Quit sniffing the bird Brandon  I've never had a amazon come into the rescue or even had the pleasure of interacting with one . I hear there quite intelligent but can be terribly nippy.BW
