I hope someone finds these useful. I made these when I had a lot of birds.
Curtain poles to make large or any size perches.Often found in charity shops.
I made a stand from a round coffee table just by drilling the centre for the perch to go.
Also by utilising a small chest of drawers and a wooden towel rail by turning the wooden hands and attaching to the top of the drawers. It became a longer stand plus there was storage for birdy things.
A good source for making bases were kitchen cupboard doors because they were easy to wipe down.
Call me tight but if anyone's throwing some thing out I can usually make something with it.
Also embroidery hoops are great for swings. All you have to do is bind them with your ' rope'.
For new bird owners always have a supply of loofahs. They are very cheap and make a lot of toys.

My tramper has a 25mile radius and on road speed of 8mph, but even going across country it wouldn't make Lincolnshire to Yorkshire withou recharging.
I remember reading somewhere someone was doing Lands end to John O Groats on a scooter.
One of the chaps on another forum adapted his with a petrol engine. It might affect the free road tax though. :o

It sounds like mine Lorius . I would need overnight stops to recharge too.
I wonder if it's legal to adapt with a petrol engine , I haven't heard of that before. :D
