Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new baby! The diet depends on the age and condition of the bird. Babies need handfeeding until they are about 6 months old as well as two kinds of soft food, served warm and fresh twice a day; juveniles need the two kinds of soft food as well as the protein food you will be using in the future. Adults need gloop (you can't use chop or mash for grays because it's too little protein for them) accompanied of raw produce for breakfast and all day picking with protein food for dinner. Now, if you are going to feed seeds or nuts, you will need to supplement it with Vit D3 but, if you are going to feed pellets, it should be getting enough D3 from them BUT I've known birds that have died eggbound on pellets so it's not a sure thing. Personally and after many years of studying parrots natural diets, I don't feed pellets for the simple reason that I want my birds to eat the best possible diet and pellets are not and never will be.
