Snowball Too's got moves!

Postby Pajarita » Tue Jul 09, 2019 8:33 am

Scientists still studying his dancing and now found that he has 14 different moves and 2 composite ones, that he doesn't 'repeat' the same 'choreography' when he hears the same song and that he made up some of his moves (but I don't know if I would not call them innate). All this does not only show that he likes and understand the concept of music and rhythm but also a high intelligence AND complex social behavior. (I am putting 3 links of the same because each has something a little different).

The reason why scientists are studying Snowball's dancing is that they are trying to confirm that humans and parrots dance because they both learn the link between speech (or music) and movement. But I still don't think that these movements are self-taug or not innate - I mean, all cockatoos dance, some better, some worse but they all dance and they all make the same moves at one point or another.
