I get the greenest celery I can find for the cockatiels. I had been giving them a stalk but they could only get a few bites out of it. I have been doing super thin slices for them and they love it. I know it is mostly water but they do get some green.

Liz, tiels love all greens. You should try something else because celery has just water and salt and it needs to be organic so it doesn't really pay to get it because you spend good money on something that it doesn't really provide any important nutrition. Mine get celery but only once about every two weeks or so.
