Invasive parrots study on damage

Postby Pajarita » Tue Jul 16, 2019 9:11 am

You need to read the whole thing but, in a nutshell, they found that IRNs and quakers can damage crops and that IRNs can take over nesting cavities used by other species (IRNs in Spain evicted bats) but the damage is hardly ever severe (yes, there was a winery that lost a lot of grapes in the UK) and that there are very few reports outside UK and Spain of damage. They also mention the quakers nests in electrical poles and such but it's just a matter of learning to live with them because we've had quakers in my country since the beggining of times and we don't really have that much of a problem with this...
