Thank you both for the advice. I feel bad that I didn't consider giving my birds natural perches like this, but I will get right on it now.

Always look to nature to figure out what is best for them. Trying to copy as much as possible the conditions they live under in the wild is the only way we have of giving them a semi-normal life - and it's soooo much healthier for them! It has taken man a loooong time to figure that even with domesticated animals, it's healthier for them to live the way they (or their ancestor species) evolved to live. We, humans, are too arrogant when it comes to knowledge. We think that because we are intelligent, we know more than nature - and it's not true.
