Finding dead migratory birds all over the place. In one location, it was a virus but they are still investigating the other two sites.

Now the numbers are up to 17,000!!! And although there was a preliminary report of botulism, there is doubt this was the cause.

Over 18,000 now but the number is thought to be closer to 25,000 dead birds! This article says they believe the cause to be botulism...

18,500 dead birds found so far and the cause of death has been confirmed as botulism which proliferated due to climate change and, as live birds fed on the maggots consuming the dead birds, they got infected themselves creating a vicious cycle of death which the authorities now believe is contained.
