Virtual dog sled journey (personal note: I am completely opposed to dogsled races like Iditarod but have no problem with the concept of dogsledding as long as it's done with the dogs wellbeing in mind first and foremost because some breeds just love doing it. A funny anecdote on this: My US daughter and I went on a dogsled ride (the dogs were all Huskies but they do not look like the ones they sell here in USA) in the Artic Circle -near Rovaniemi, Finland- and after I sat in the sled and my daughter took her position as the driver, we were told by the handler how to say all the commands for the dogs to go, stop, turn right and turn left (and no, it's not 'MUSH) - but the only thing that came out of our mouths the ENTIRE time was "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" because, as soon as the leader's harness was let go, they took off like a bat out of hell at such a speed that all we could do was hang on with both our hands to the sled and try to stay on it And they did not need anything told, either - they knew exactly where to go and when to stop!
