Documentary on stereotypic behaviors in captive animals (feather plucking and self-mutilation are both mentioned) - VERY interesting but, if you ask me, they go on too long on what causes the behaviors when it is obvious that it's captivity itself. And I do not agree that we cannot tell if animals experience feelings because they cannot tell us. And I agreed 100% with the Born Wild guy that says that if you want to know what an animal needs in captivity is to look to the wild. As I agreed with the old guy that said that we can't ever reproduce natural conditions and that there are species that should never be kept captive.
